  • Incredible Superhero Battle - Review

    I will divide this review into 4 sections:

    Sounds/Music
    Graphics
    Gameplay/Level Design
    Controls

    Sounds/Music:
    Where do I begin... I don't know what to make of the loud, jarring music being played in the background while you lumber around a badly rendered 'city'. It's... not great. Screechy 'rock' music with a pinch of electronic music in it is definitely not a great combination. If the had lowered the volume a bit...that would have been bearable, but no, it goes full blast whenever the title screen comes up. The bad music may overshadow the abysmal sounds the game has to offer, however, I'm definitely not going to gloss over it. With a grand total of 3 sounds, which sound that they have been recorded off a potato, you can enjoy the jarring sounds of your character punching a Transformer...musical genius.Incredibly unrealistic, annoying and frustrating, the only praise I can give for the game is that it HAS sounds. However, I have a feeling that it would have been better if it didn't.

    Graphics:
    Bad rendering of the town, with stock buildings from unity's library. It looks a game from back in 2000. Even the first Halo had better graphics than this. Is it too much to ask for high definition textures and a comprehensible skybox? Nah, we have to be subjected to this monstrosity of a city. Don't even get me started on the character models. Your character looks as if the Hulk had been skinned by an angry squirrel. You sport a gross shade of brown mixed with red. The low definition textures make your character look blocky and weird, and your enemies (different coloured Transformers) once again looked like they have been ripped off the Unity Library. The epitome of pure laziness. This angers me.

    Gameplay:
    It works. That's all I got. While the fps is not a serious issue with the game. All you can do is walk, choose between three attacks, spam, rinse and repeat. The animations do not change, the 'slam' attack is extremely awkward and it gets..really...really boring. You just move around the tiny city, trying to 'punch' your enemies. There is no real combat, and the Transformers don't even seem to care that you are beating them to a pulp. The animations are simply awful, and I feel violated when I try and play this crap. To it's credit, however, atleast the gameplay element does exist, and barely scrapes over a glitchy mess.
    2/5

    Controls:
    Th attacks are awkwardly placed on the screen, making it hard to choose from them (not that you have to). Other than that, the touchpad is unreponsive and laggy at times, hindering any sort of enjoyment you could possibly have with this mess of a game.
    2/5

    PS: The ad frequency is absolutely unbearable. Unskippable ads which appear after every single level, and sometimes even in the middle of a level. It is simply unplayable at times.

    Final Score: 8/20 ---> F

    ALERT: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME. IT IS A RIPOFF AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT HAS A 4.4 STAR RATING ON THE PLAY STORE.
