All players start the game by choosing a character to play as. You are given two options, Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba. Both are great duelists and have good decks. There is no 'wrong' choice here as the duelist you don't pick will pop up later in the game and you can acquire him then. Beginner duelists should note that Yami Yugi's deck is slightly better for facing off against the lower level duelists at the start of the game. If you prefer Seto Kaiba, don't let that put you off, you will still be able to defeat the lower level duelists and advance in the game. So good luck to you, whomever you choose.
