The price point changes depending on the location, construction materials, and how big you want your house to be. Nowadays, it is very easy to find specialists to help you make up a house plan. You just gotta make sure to find reliable ones, https://www.boutiquehomeplans.com/. Basically, the price can also differentiate to the situation in the world like Covid 19 or crisis. Such problems can completely change the value of a property, but you can buy it and sell it when the prices would go up. Many investors do this, buy when prices are low, and sell it when the prices grow up fast. It is your choice.

It's all about your preferences, in my opinion.

It is about preferences but only when you can afford both of them if you'd want.

It is about preferences but only when you can afford both of them if you'd want. Otherwise, you will have to take several factors into account. I would argue that the main ones would be: location, number of family members, credit score, wage, and its future projection (at least approximations), sellability, and mortgage facility. I had a similar debate with myself a few years ago when trying to decide on my future home. It became overwhelming at a certain point, and I decided to go to Mortgage Broker Nottingham and see how they could help me. It proved my point that, again, if you are in doubt - discuss it with an expert.
