    How did you discovered Anime/Managa?

We all know that Anime and Manga is part of the Japanese Culture that is widely known by now. But before, you weren't able to step a foot over this world and yet, what drove your mind to try entering this (unknown) dimension of fandom and weirdness? (Let's face it, there are a lot of weird stuff in Anime/Manga world. Don't make me start a list now. lol)

As for my case, I was already exposed to animation ever since I was a child. My home had animation video collections because of my parents and I was raised as a Disney kid. Then one day, after playing the remote of our TV, I stumbled on one channel that airs nothing but anime shows. That's where my adventure begun.

I've known anime/manga since I was 9 years old. The very first anime I've fell in love with (and I still love it until now) is Fushigi Yuugi. I started reading manga when I was in second year highschool, about 7 years ago.

Fushigi Yuugi is my personal favorite also! I can still remember the names of the 7 suzaku warriors. And the love story of Miyaka and Tamahome is just romantic! ❤️

My daughter introduced me to anime. It's funny how these "fictional, not even real people characters" can make me laugh, cry, hope and be inspired. Naruto is epic. Yu Yu Hakusho, Hiei was my daughter's first ever crush.

sybertanne Miyaka and Tamahome's love story is great. Almost all anime I watched have this romantic pairing. Like Naruto and Hinata. Yusuke & Keiko Of Yu Yu Hakuso. And the list are never-ending. Old fave for me was Erika & Richard of Daimos. Then I stopped watching when I got married. Hooked again when I saw my daughter watching anime. There's always a child in you that refuse to grow old.

Funky.Troy sybertanne if you guys love the original fushigi yuugi, i suggest you also read the prequel, Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden I used to love Miaka/Tamahome pairing but then I realized their relationship is a bit on the shallow and sappy side of romance compared to the two leads of Genbu Kaiden *this is just my personal opinion* It's a must read prequel to the anime since the story behind the first priestess was revealed in that manga It's already completed so you need not to worry about waiting for chapters to upload

QueenYoora : Genbu Kaiden is my all-time favorite faction from Fushigi Yuugi!!! That bittersweet couple and story is just a beast. My heart would hurt whenever I remember their parting and reunion. ;')

OMG YAAAAS!!!! I think Genbu Kaiden's love story is better than the original anime. I love how the main lead guy from the seishi 7 is actually supportive of Takiko, and Takiko is very mature when it comes to making decision and not too reckless unlike Miaka. Can't really help but compare these two girls since I saw a lot of differences!

I hope you'd like the story as much as I did. Enjoy!!

True. Maybe the age differences as well? I'm not sure if Takiko was on the same age as Miaka or it was just to make each character different. It would be debatable to have same characters in a series especially if they are all priestesses. lol And, just like any other anime series out there, there will always someone who will out-best the characters. lol

I think Takiko is around 17 during the time she entered the book. It's just really sad that there are no effective cure for tuberculosis during those times. She may have gone back first, get treated, then returned to the book to be Uruki's empress!

But that might make what I love about them disappear. lol I am not a 100% fan of happy endings after all. Oddly enough, I like seeing character suffer and develop from their experiences.
