    Did you ever have trouble losing weight? And did you end up learning something in the process?

        Yes. I gained so much during university days and now I'm having trouble shedding off the extra pounds that I gained. *sigh*

            Oh, I heard from most people that doing yoga helps in maintaining your chakra (?) and aids in losing weight too!

              don't know about chakras, but yoga can help you lose weight. even though moves you do are slow, they actually take a lot of energy.

                  An addictive one.

                  But I do workout. But just not during winter which makes it even more bad. lol My body seems to hate the cold.

                    It's an eternal problem for me. Blame it on genes ( and lack of willpower too). When I hit my 30s oh my Gosh the weight also increases. It's a phase for me. There will be times that I will lose weight because I'd be in a weight-watching phase where I exercise regularly and watch my diet. But when an event comes up like a party or a reunion and the last time the holiday season, the plan will come to a halt. Coz I can't resist all these delicious foods. And then my taste buds will crave for more. It will be hard to start the phase again.

                      What I learn is you need a jumpstart. The one I did was the General Motors 7-Day diet. The first time I did that, I lasted only 2 days coz I felt like I was gonna die. I was successful on my third try and lost about 7lbs. I felt my jeans getting looser and it motivated me to go on with watching my weight. I gained almost 10lbs during the holidays so I'll do the 7-day diet again as soon as my physician gives me a go signal.

                        Dear, Troy. If you feel like you're about to die, that means the diet is working properly well with your body. If not, it only means that you need another method. It's just perseverance, really. It won't be called a workout if you don't sweat and your muscles ache. lol

                          That's exactly my problem too. I'm trying to sort out my diet first and doing basic yoga.

                            I heard from my friends that yoga is an effective method to lose weight as well as bring inner peace within yourself. Now, I do cardio everyday for 20 minutes just to kick off my metabolism.

                              The General Motors 7-Day diet is just a diet plan. No workout involved. I can't do a rigorous workout anymore, unfortunately. I walk 3-5x a week. That's it.
