If we talk about Kyoto, the best thing to do is go Shrine Hopping. But if you easily get tired of Shrines, you can try climbing up to Fushimi Inari Taisha (it's a mountain full of shrines for Inari God, the mother of all Inari shrines is in Kyoto, by the way). You will enjoy seeing it's preserved beauty and as well as it's thousands of Torii's. I already went there twice and it was always wonderful.Originally posted by chibicano View Post
If you're not interested with shrines and temples, Kyoto has other ways for you to enjoy. Like a stroll in the Bamboo Groove, Seeing Japan's history of Railways and its evolution through time, and enjoy the studio by TOEI where they film most of their historical movies (with attractions too!).
