  • What was Your Favorite Pasttime, Hobby or Craft?

It's 2017, and normally during the start of the year we set some goals and plans we could challenge ourselves in order to motivate, inspire and keep us going. Aside from writing, gardening has a very soft spot in my heart. My late mother was a green thumb and when she was alive, she managed to nurse rare blossoms in her mini-garden in the backyard. Now, my sister seemed to have the same green thumb as my mother and have grown some ornamental plants in the garden my mother used to care for. Thus I thought about hydroponics. I plan to do this sometime in the past months. In fact I did some readings and research about it that made me write about it in my blog. This year, I hope to start it even in a simple bowl or a small aquarium I can manage to keep it. Hopefully I can successfully do it here in my room. To tell you more about it, I have written it here in my blog: YellowChevy's Corner.

I learned about Hydroponics during my college days. It was interesting but for me, tending to greenery eats a lot of my time since I'm the kinds that actually DOES a lot of stuff. But we had a building full of plants and fishes where we take care of them. At least then, it was not just me. haha

I liked drawing since I was a kid and fell in love with animation and comics at the same time so my style inclines that way. I also write from time to time but recently, I feel like I don't have the power to let out all of my ideas anymore unlike before. Maybe because my current work is too much of a stress for me nowadays. I'm starting into crafting though. I already did some resin works last year and plans to continue them again this year. I even bought a UV lamp since winter is not helping me speed any progress at all. And a co-worker introduced me to popom-making using yarns, Imma start that one as well.

I just personally want my free time to be eat up by my hobbies so I don't have to go out and waste more money than I can with these. hahaha

I also watch anime from time to time. Before, I watched it like crazy. lol

Good for you!. I wish I could also do this. But I agree, I have other things I'm doing that's eating up most of my time aside from work of course.

For working adults, time is like a treasure. That's where the saying, "every second counts" comes strong. lol

I'm actually starting to get into golf. There is just something relaxing about swinging around for 4 hours with 0 worries.

Golf is a very interesting hobby that can greatly improve one's mindset and focus. I'd love to learn this. But, I even haven't touch a golf club yet. I once accompanied my boss in a driving range but that's it. That's my only experience about golf.

I like blogging a lot, in fact, I'm running my own blog along with its own domain but it's really hard to establish audience online! LOL

For now, I like doing bullet journal and doing digital collages using photoshop.

Maybe not my plate there @ chibicano. Yes, I love the greens and birdies but I want to get dirty by digging the soil and produce plants that helps to feed the hungry and care for Mother Nature.

Definitely crafts. I love doing artsy things although I'm not good with drawings and stuff. But I like DIY projects like making friendship bracelets using DMC threads and writing journals.

Whoa! this was one of my indulgent before. I used to make cross stich framed images but I need to stop coz its kinda addictive too and I almost don't sleep until I finished each and every project.

I used to make bracelets using the same brand of threads too! I remember I was taught how to make these bracelets by my childhood friend, but I lost contact with her when we moved houses.

That's one very nice hobby craft that can also be made s keepsakes for friends and could even be a side business if you're really good at creating nice and unique designs.
